Decades of Camping
(July 2019) Betty Ann Surbaugh has been attending Camp Easterseals UCP for 50 consecutive years. She has decades of memories of counselors, fellow campers and activities. This summer she received the 50 Year Camper Award during a celebration. Betty Ann says, "Camp Easterseals UCP is my favorite place in the world!" Camp Easterseals UCP has been serving children and adults with disabilities for 60 years.
Honoring The Feuerberg Family
(May 2019) Stan, Robyn and Amy Feuerberg have been supporting Camp Easterseals UCP in Virginia for 12 years. During this time, they raised $600,000 which provided 600 scholarships for children and adults with disabilities and mental health challenges to attend Camp Easterseals UCP. Amy, who is living with autism, is a longtime camper and a big fan of the pool. A plaque dedicated to the Feuerberg Family has been erected in their honor on the pool property. Easterseals UCP is grateful for their support.
Community Family Egg Hunt Supports Camp Easterseals UCP
(March 2018) Thanks to sponsors, families and volunteers for kicking off spring in a beautiful way at the Community Family Egg Hunt. More than $49,000 was raised to help children and adults with disabilities attend Camp Easterseals UCP, a unique sleep away camp near Roanoke, Virginia. Little kids enjoyed the egg hunt while families took in the music, raffles and fun.
Camper Raises Funds for Others
(February 2018) Camp Easterseals UCP Camper Amy Feuerberg created a fundraiser to support people who want to go to camp, but can’t afford it. Amy, who is 27 years old and has autism, had hoped to raise $2,000 during the month of January. Her family is happy to report that she reached her goal and exceeded it by raising over $2400 which equals two weeks of camp!
