Adult Behavioral Health Services

Easterseals UCP is committed to helping people overcome mental health challenges and to helping them find hope and motivation. We provide a continuum of person-centered behavioral health services that are research-based to address mental health needs.

Services Provided:

Assertive Community Treatment Teams (ACT)
Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT) is a team-based treatment model that provides multidisciplinary, flexible treatment and support to people with mental illness 24/7. 

Community Support Services (CST)
CST is a team approach to assist adults in all areas of functioning so that they can reduce crisis episodes, obtain stable housing, connect with school/vocational opportunities, increase independency, improve social skills, and learn coping skills to manage their behavioral health and substance use symptoms. CST staff are available 24/7/365 in the event of a crisis.

Individual Community Supports (ICS)
Individual Community Supports services enable an individual to acquire and maintain skills that will allow them to function with greater independence in the community. 

Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment Teams 
Integrated dual diagnosis treatment (IDDT) is an evidence-based model that addresses a person’s substance use in the context of the treatment of their mental illness. 

Supported Employment Services
Employment Services enables people with disabilities to not only earn a sustainable wage but also give back to their communities.

Peer Support Services
Peer Support Specialists are people living in recovery with mental illness and / or substance abuse and who provide support to others whom can benefit from their lived experiences. 

Mobile Crisis
Mobile Crisis provides integrated, short-term crisis response, stabilization and intervention for adults and children experiencing a mental health or chemical dependency crisis.

North Carolina START Central
NC START (Strategic Therapeutic Assessment Resources Treatment) team provides prevention and intervention services to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and complex behavioral health needs through crisis response, training, consultation, and resources. 

Outpatient Services and Medication Management
We provide evaluations and assessments to determine the most effective approach to improve mental health and wellness of the people we serve.

Virginia REACH
VA REACH (Regional Educational Assessment Crisis Response and Habilitation) team offers crisis prevention and intervention for adults with an Intellectual Disability and/or Developmental Disability and co-occurring complex behavioral health needs.
