Chicago, November 8, 2018 — Easterseals is teaming up with Freddie Mac (OTCQB:FMCC) to help educate veterans, seniors, people with disabilities, caregivers and its own staff to bolster their personal finance capability and navigate housing options within their communities. This new effort provides free educational webinars on a variety of money management topics tailored to meet the needs of Easterseals constituents. This initiative, developed by Easterseals, is designed to help expand financial and housing information, awareness and resources in the communities it serves.

Angela F. Williams, President and CEO of Easterseals, states: “Independent housing remains an important issue for people with disabilities, seniors and veterans nationwide. We are thrilled to work with Freddie Mac to educate and provide options so that we can help as many people as possible achieve their goals.”

The latest in the webinar series will be offered on November 13 and November 15 and will focus on rental housing and homeownership options. Visit our website for additional details.

“Freddie Mac is proud to partner with Easterseals to incorporate elements from our CreditSmart® financial education curriculum to empower people with the information needed to help make a positive difference in their financial future,” said Danny Gardner, Senior Vice President, Single-Family Affordable Lending and Access to Credit at Freddie Mac. “By the end of the webinar, participants should be confident that they have the information they need to take the next step toward buying and keeping a home.”

Easterseals affiliates in Atlanta, Houston, District of Columbia, St. Louis, New Orleans and Mobile currently partner with Freddie Mac to provide education on personal money management, housing counseling and workshops to employees, and to the clients they serve.

Additionally, Easterseals is utilizing MyHome by Freddie Mac® as a key online resource to help prepare persons to get into homes and stay in their homes.
