Sharing is caring” is one Sara’s many mottos. It was her passion for communication that brought her to Easterseals Crossroads in 2009 where she assisted in developing the social media plan for the agency. As the Social Media and Event Coordinator, Sara spends her days monitoring the Internet for content that impacts the lives of individuals with special needs and their families, providing up-to-date news stories and those feel-good pictures that remind us all how important it is to care for one another.
Sara has written over 150 blogs for Easterseals Crossroads. One of her favorite experiences was when she was invited to the US Paralympics Track and Field Trials in the summer of 2012, where she met all-stars like Tatyana McFadden and even interviewed those in charge of BP’s support for the Olympics and Paralympics. Sara’s passion for communication allows her to be the brand journalist that gets the story (and the facts) straight to you.
Sara’s strengths in social media have given her the opportunity to present at national conferences, such as the National Assistive Technology Technical Assistance Partnership (NATTAP) conference in 2010, the Indianapolis Nonprofit & Marketing PR Group, the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network and several times for Blog Indiana. In her spare time, Sara is a freelancer for Visit Indy, Indianapolis’ Visitors Bureau, where she blogs about her adventures in Indianapolis. She also has two boxers, Brandy and Dollar, and enjoys time with her boyfriend John.
