For 11 years, Richard Nussbaum has charmed Adult Day Services (ADS) staff with his jokes, wit, and grit. Richard, a 64 year old overachiever, enjoys volunteering and helping others, collecting t-shirts, painting, and listening to various audio books and musical pieces. Although Richard has an eye for the arts, Richard lost his vision at age of 18 when working as a dishwasher during his high school years. Despite his vision impairment, Richard never lets his disability get in the way of doing the things he loves most.
In addition to his everyday hobbies, Richard also has a nitch for travel. Nationally, Richard has traveled to New Jersey, Georgia and Alabama. Richard also has traveled globally to Poland, Czech-Republic, Austria, Belgium and London. Richard loves attending Easterseals Adult Day Services. He anticipates attending for as long as he can since it is a great place for him to make friends and it has wonderful staff.
Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania looks forward to our premiere fundraising event Walk With Me Pittsburgh. Our goal for Walk With Me Pittsburgh is to raise both awareness and funds to support children and adults with disabilities or other special needs. This year's event will be held on June 2, 2018 at Kennywood Park, so start building your team today! And, after the Walk and celebration, plan on staying and enjoy all that Kennywood has to offer since all day admission to the park is included in your registration fee!
