Outpatient Speech and Hearing Johnstown/Somerset Division

Outpatient Speech and Hearing Services

Speech and hearing services focus on improving communication skills by improving an individual’s ability to listen and speak so they can live, learn, work, and play in our communities.

Licensed and certified speech/language therapists at Easterseals provide evaluations and treatment to children and adults with communication disorders. Services are provided for consumers diagnosed with such disabilities as speech and/or language delay, Autism, cleft palate, hearing loss, stuttering, voice disorder, stroke and/or laryngectomy.

Reimbursement for speech services is available through healthcare providers or a fee based on income.

Our audiologist holds a doctorate degree and offers complete diagnostic hearing evaluations for children and adults by a professionally trained specialist who holds a doctorate degree.  Based on the results of testing, if indicated, appropriate treatment will be recommended.  We offer the latest in digital hearing aids at a reduced cost and work closely with organizations that assist low income clients in obtaining hearing aids. Routine maintenance and repair on hearing aids and assistive listening devices is available.

Diagnostic hearing services are reimbursable through health insurances and Easterseals participates with most insurance companies including Medicare, Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield. All services are provided by our licensed audiologist and are available to EVERYONE.
