A lot has changed since 1947. Washington's population has grown exponentially, technology has changed the way we communicate, and people of all ability levels are living longer, more fulfilled lives. As an organization that serves children and adults with disabilities, we have changed a lot as well. The definition of disability has changed over time - shifting from just visible and physical disabilities to include invisible, mental, and emotional disabilities - and we have evolved to serve the most pressing needs throughout the state. Today, Easterseals Washington is changing the way the world defines and views disabilities by making profound, positive difference in people's lives every day.
We have big plans for the next 70 years, but we need the support of our community to ensure our success. We want to reconnect and reengage with our supporters - bringing people that have known Easterseals in the past back into the organization, to help us grow and to support our programs.
