MasTec Employees Dined At Easter Seals South Florida's Mock Restaurant

...Before Participating in Teambuilding Activity

October 24, 2016

On October 20, 2016, approximately 15 employees from MasTec, Inc., an engineering and construction company located in Coral Gables, were served lunch by our Culinary Arts High School students at Easter Seals South Florida. Under the tutelage of Chef Monica Gill and her staff, the students set up a "mock" restaurant where they served a two course meal consisting of a salad and chicken marsala over penne paste. This is the first time that the students participated in restaurant-style service and the feedback from the guests was that they did an excellent job!

After lunch the employees in a teambuilding activity in the form of a bake-off, where they formed three teams and were assisted by the students. Each team chose a different kind of dessert; cookies, cupcakes or blondies. The elementary and middle school students were the judges for the bake-off. The chocolate cupcake team won first place!
