Families members joined in the special celebration and shared testimonials about how finding a place for their loved one at Easterseals Adult day care changed their lives.  One daughter shared how much happier her mother is now that she is participating in activities rather than feeling isolated at home.  Through tears, she shared that her caregiving burden has been significantly relieved because of the services Easterseals provides to her mother and how grateful she is for the loving staff that cares so well for her mother.

In celebration of National Family Caregiver’s month, families enjoyed Thanksgiving-style lunches in their honor and caregivers were encouraged to take time to reflect on the love they give and receive from their loved ones despite the challenges they face each and every day.  They also heard about how important it is that they take time out to care for themselves.  More than one hundred families participated in the events and shared stories about their caregiving experiences and their love for the person they are caring for.
