Adult Day Program

Respite Services

Respite is time limited, temporary relief provided to the primary caregiver of individuals with a disability. Respite allows families, who may otherwise be homebound, the opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved break. This service is designed to relieve families/caregivers of the physical or emotional stress associated with caring for an individual with disabilities. Respite may be provided in or out of the home. Families may select their own respite provider from relatives, neighbors, friends, etc. However, the person must reside outside of the caregiver's home. The respite provider selected by the family must undergo a criminal background check, MVR and be CPR certified. Once an individual has completed this process, Easterseals may pay them to provide respite.

Easterseals Megan's House is a respite home with two locations in Albany and Valdosta. Quality respite care services are available for children and adults who have developmental disabilities, a diagnosis of autism and/or are medically fragile.
