The first term congressman was elected in 2017 and represents the 48th congressional district, which includes Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa.

Rep. Rouda answered questions from the audience and shared his experience on passing bipartisan legislation, including co-sponsoring several healthcare-related bills. He’s also co-signed a bill to ensure funding of the Individual with Disabilities Education (IDEA) Act, which calls on the federal government to match 40 percent of educational funding for individuals with disabilities.

After the town hall, Rep. Rouda was given a tour of the Autism Therapy and Disability Services Center, including our legacy wall of historic Easterseals photos and articles. Harley Rouda at Irvine HQ 3
