WorkFirst Employment Services Earns CARF Accreditation Renewal

For the 24th year, Easter Seals has received the prestigious CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) certification.

The CARF accreditation process starts with a provider’s commitment to continuous improvement and culminates with external review and recognition that the provider’s business and service practices meet international standards of quality -- with all the steps in between focused on optimal outcomes for the persons the provider serves and sustained organizational success.

The CARF standards have been developed over 40-plus years by international teams of service providers, policy makers, payers, family members and consumers. The standards have also been submitted to the public for review to validate relevancy and ensure input from all interested stakeholders.

During the most recent process, three CARF surveyors reviewed ESSC’s policies and business practices in the areas of Finance, Technology, Human Resources, Leadership, Board, and Risk Management, as a part of their comprehensive review of WorkFirst Employment Services. During this three-day evaluation, more than 1,200 CARF standards were used to determine our agency’s commitment to providing quality, individualized services to each person we support. The surveyors interviewed many staff, including those from other service lines, a member of our Board of Directors, several funders, family members and job seekers. The results of these interviews were extremely positive, with 100% of the people interviewed speaking highly of our team and our services.

As a result of this process, Easter Seals Southern California is proud to be CARF-accredited for another 3 year term!
