Easterseals works to ensure that our services provide people with developmental disabilities individualized support that promotes self-determination, independence, productivity and inclusion in all facets of community life.
For Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, we encourage you to help bring attention to the ways in which people with and without developmental disabilities come together to form strong, diverse communities and raise awareness about the barriers that people with disabilities still sometimes face in connecting to the communities in which they live.
You can support the campaign of awareness for those with disabilities year-round by showing your friends and family how you celebrate inclusion.
And throughout the month of March, you can share your examples of how people with and without disabilities are living, working, learning and playing, side-by-side in your local community on social media with the hashtags #DDawareness19.
