Sebastain's Story

S. Allen 1

How did you discover that your child had special needs?

Sebastian was born at 26 weeks and 3 days gestation at the Mcleod in Florence. He weighed 2 pounds and 5 ounces. We knew at that time that he would need a lot of help growing and developing.

How did you learn about Easterseals Early Intervention?

Our pediatrician at Grand Strand Pediatrician, Dr. Baldridge, told us about Easterseals.

How do you feel your child is doing now in comparison to when they first started their Early Intervention journey? What are they able to do now that they were not able to do before?

Our journey has just begun! We are excited to be a part of the Easterseals family and look forward to seeing Sebastian grow and learn new things.

What kinds of support have been most helpful to you and why?

All of the doctors and nurses at Mcleod, MUSC and Grand Strand Peds have been super helpful. We have only been in Babynet for a few weeks and our Early Interventionist has already found Sebastian therapists and we work on outcomes each visit which has been very helpful. Lastly, our family and friends have been such a huge blessing to us. We thank everybody!
