What is Walk With Me all about?

Easter Seals Walk With Me is an opportunity for anyone and everyone to make a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities in our community.

By walking—or supporting a walker in their fund-raising efforts—funds are raised that allow Easter Seals to provide services that help people learn to walk, talk and perform other skills essential to daily living; find fulfilling jobs; reach individualized goals early in life; age with dignity; and participate in camping and recreation programs.

Why am I walking?

My name is Zach and I have autism, along with several other disabilities. I am considered medically fragile, which means that the doctors are able to name at least 20 different "problems" that I have.

Last summer, I attended Easter Seals Camp Stand By Me, and loved it! I got to meet new counselors, and made a lot of friends! Thanks to Easter Seals I was given the opportunity to try new things that I wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to try at home. I can't wait to go back to camp this year! I think my mom enjoyed having the break for a week as well, but shh!

I want to help Easter Seals be able to provide programs and different activities to children and adults who are disabled, like they have done for me. I don't live in Spokane, but I am hoping that people are inspired by my effort to join in the walk and support Easter Seals!
