Oh my golly-gee-willikers…… I am nearly 2 and a half years old and believe me I act my age. In addition to testing out of physical therapy this summer, I taught myself to jump off the side of the pool and touch the bottom, run really fast down the driveway to the mailbox, smash sting-bugs with my mama’s shoe, drive my big green jeep into every tree in the yard (cause its cool not to use the steering wheel), and when I feel like it I speak like a gentleman, “NO MAM MAMA, NO MAM, NO MAM!!!!”
As I’ve said before, Easter Seals has been a second home for me and my family. The commitment of the speech, occupational and physical therapists has been one of the leading factors in my progress. For those who would like to know a little about my history….. I was born March 10, 2007 with VACTERL Association and the abnormalities were in my heart, esophagus, trachea, ribs, spine, kidneys, stomach, hand, and arm. I was less than a day old when I underwent my first major surgery and have been followed by a large team of specialists ever since.
I had a great time at Rollin’ on the River last year, my Square Pant’s team was a hit. This year we are the Marching Monsters, because that was the dance I was doing the night we named my Easter Seals team. (just wait till you see me march). Please sign up to join us on September 12, or just support me as I perform many of the skills I’ve developed through the intervention of Easter Seals!!!!! To join the team or be a virtual walker, follow the directions on this web site, call Easter Seals (227-3600) ask for Joey, Candi or the Development office, or you can call my mom (Kristy 831-3311). If you just want to support me and my team as we walk, click on my name (John Hardin) and follow the directions to make a donation or call the above mentioned individuals.
Many God Blesses!!
