What is Walk With Me all about?

Easter Seals Walk With Me is an opportunity for anyone and everyone to make a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities in our community.

By walking—or supporting a walker in their fund-raising efforts—funds are raised that allow Easter Seals to provide services that help people learn to walk, talk and perform other skills essential to daily living; find fulfilling jobs; reach individualized goals early in life; age with dignity; and participate in camping and recreation programs.

Why am I walking?

My brother, Gerhard, is an adult living with disabilities. He had meningitis as an infant which caused permanent brain damgage. He's high functioning, but can never be completely independent. Easter Seals provides services and support to both children and adults like Gerhard, and their families!

Because I believe in the mission of Easter Seals and trust them as a fiscally-responsible organization, I support them as a board member and a Walk-With-Me participant.

I'm looking forward to enjoying being outdoors and having a great day!
