Comcast Cares Day in Keys Region

A total of 46 Comcast employees, family members, friends and Easter Seals employees showed up at 8:00 AM Saturday October 6, 2007 to paint the Easter Seals building in Key West. The building was "prepped" the prior Saturday by employees that pressure washed, scrapped off old peeling paint, fixed trim, screens and patched cement that had been damaged by Hurricane Wilma. Rob Porcaro, Executive Director of Easter Seals Florida / Keys Region is shown shaking hands with Bill Underwood, General Manager of the Florida Keys and some of the attendees. Rob expressed his appreciation for what the Comcast team accomplished in 4 hours.

Gala 2009 Superheroes Unite!

Easter Seals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region hosted the 31st Annual Benefit Gala: Superheroes Unite! on March 21, 2009 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. Over 500 community and corporate leaders enjoyed elegant dining, dancing to Orchestra 33, and unique auction items. Easter Seals honored Oak Brook residents, Lisa and Fred Barbara, with the 2009 Carol and Jack Sanicki Crystal Heart Award. Chris Cook of Carol Stream and a senior at Elmhurst College was featured as the Easter Seals 2009 ambassador. All proceeds benefit the Easter Seals Sponsor-A-Child Program which provides life-changing therapy services to children and families who are under-insured or un-insured.

More than 80 golfers gathered in April in Escondido to enjoy a sunny and fun day of charity golf that grossed over $10,000 to benefit Easter Seals services. Eagle Crest Golf Club hosted the tournament and afterwards golfers enjoyed an awards ceremony, raffle, and exciting silent and live auction. Thanks to the dedication and support of Churchill's owner Ivan Derezin, Director of Golf Ed Espinoza, Dolman & Associates, Glaser & Bailey Awards, and Pat and Oscars the event was a great success for the fourth year!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the great success of Easter Seals 32nd annual Golf Tournament which was held on Wednesday , September 30, 2009 at Fishers Island Golf Club, Fishers Island, New York.
