How do I Pay for Early Intervention?
Each state has designed its own unique early intervention system to meet the needs of the children and families of its communities. This means the services covered and the amount that is paid may vary from state to state. To learn more about your state's early intervention program, visit the National Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center Web site and find your state's lead agency contact information. You can then call the state or local office for more detailed information. What About Insurance? Interested in government benefit information to help determine your potential eligibility? Visit GovBenefits.gov to access information about hundreds of federal assistance programs and federally-funded programs managed by state and local governments. If you do not have insurance or if your insurance does not cover the service recommended, the state early intervention program should pay for the services included in your Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP). |
