BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible to Camp Director. Must have knowledge, practical experience and ability to plan, organize and lead appropriate programs. Remain current on ACA standards. Direct and supervise seasonal groups. Supervise program staff. Recruit and coordinate volunteers. Camper and staff recruitment. Represent Easter Seals Camp ASCCA to parents, groups, businesses and the public. Staff training.

QUALIFICATIONS

B.S. Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field. Must possess or be able to obtain the following: AL boaters license, Lifeguard Certification, Certified Pool Operator and Lifeguard Instructor. Knowledgeable or able to obtain knowledge of all camp program areas.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Camp counselors supervise and care for campers' personal needs as well as lead and assist campers with camp activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 18 years of age

  • Be physically and cognitively able to supervise campers and assist with their personal care
  • Act ethically and honestly
  • Desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
