We are excited to be hosting our Second Annual Uncorked and Crafted event. The evening will feature a specially curated wine experience by R Five Wines, Hor D'Oeuvres, and a silent auction. The evening spent with friends, old and new, will help support play at Easterseals by raising funds for playground improvements at our centers.

Winemaker and co-owner Kieran Robinson’s story started in the Finger Lakes of Upstate New York while attending Ithaca College. Working at small production wineries that specialized in Alsatian whites, Kieran realized his passion for wine. Upon returning to his hometown after college, Kieran had the opportunity to experience the challenges of making wine in a non-traditional wine region - the Philadelphia countryside.

With a thirst for knowledge and strong fervor for winemaking, Kieran moved, with Kristie, to the Northern Rhone region of France. Working in France gave Kieran an appreciation for French viticulture and winemaking philosophies. After work was finished in Côte-Rôtie, Kieran and wife/co-owner Kristie moved to Napa Valley to expand their winemaking knowledge. After working at Cakebread Cellars, he moved to Sonoma working at Paul Hobbs Winery and then to being winemaker at Jericho Canyon Vineyard alongside famed winemakers Aaron Pott and Michel Rolland. Kieran and Kristie launched Kieran Robinson Wines with the 2009 harvest, focusing on Rhone varietals.

In 2018, Kieran and Kristie started their new label – R FIVE WINES – with the goal of bringing the California wine tasting experience to the east coast. Production increased to include wines from a variety of American Viticulture Areas (AVAs) in Northern California such as Russian River, Dry Creek Valley and Sonoma Valley. In late August 2021, R FIVE WINES Tasting Room opened where Kieran and Kristie share a little bit of California Wine Country with you.

R Five Wines tasting room and restaurant brings California wine country to the east coast. Tasting flights, by-the-glass and bottles are available along with housemade pizzas, charcuterie, cheeses and desserts. Eat in or take to go! Owners Kieran and Kristie Robinson make the wines in Sonoma, California from grape to bottle. Once bottles the wines are shipped to the tasting room in Downingtown. www.rfivewines.com.

The first five years of a child's development are critical and play has proven to be one of the most powerful tools in helping children meet their milestones. The simple act of movement promotes brain development. The playground provides children the opportunity to develop their language, social, and problem-solving skills.
