KRISTEN RANTZ NAMED NEW PRESIDENT & CEO

Portland, OR (August 1, 2022): Easterseals Oregon, the nonprofit organization that serves children and adults with disabilities, veterans, mature job seekers and families across Oregon, announced today that Kristen Rantz has been selected as its new President & Chief Executive Officer.

Easterseals Oregon Board Chair, Jahzeel Ormeno, made the announcement, noting, “Kristen Rantz has brilliantly served as the Chief Financial Officer of Easterseals Oregon since 2017. After leading the organization through a period of growth that doubled its operations and level of service, we appointed her as the Chief Operating Officer as well as the Chief Financial Officer. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Easterseals Oregon stayed open to provide critically needed programs as well as retained all its staff positions. This can be attributed due to her passionate leadership and astounding dedication. Not one employee had to be furloughed or laid off. Her results-oriented vision paired with her extensive experience working with humanitarian organizations has led her to the helm of Easterseals Oregon. This is a very exciting moment for our organization and for the people we serve,” Ormeno continued, “I’m very excited for what the future holds under her leadership as the President and CEO.”
Rantz responded by stating, “I am thrilled to step into the role of President & CEO of Easterseals Oregon. With a 75-year history of service to vulnerable Oregonians, Easterseals Oregon will continue to build its legacy of inclusion, equity, access and independence for children and adults with disabilities and special needs. I look forward to working with our dedicated Board of Directors, staff, donors, volunteers, and partners across Oregon to continue to move this organization forward so that even more children, adults, seniors, and veterans in need can be served and lives changed. My passion for Easterseals and for inclusive services stems from my personal experience as a mother. I learned about Easterseals in 2007 when my daughter attended its integrated childcare center in Montana. The model was excellent and deeply resonated with me and with my daughter. When the opportunity arose at Easterseals Oregon in 2017, I knew that this is where I was meant to be.”
