Summer Recreation for Children with Disabilities
The mission of Easter Seals day camping programs is to provide safe, fun recreational opportunities for children with disabilities or special needs. Easter Seals recognizes the gifts and potential of our campers. We create an environment that emphasizes their ability and independence, as well as the development of their leisure skills, social skills, and appreciation of the outdoors. Participants make friends, learn about and explore nature, participate in sports and crafts, gain confidence, and create memories that linger long after they go home.
2017 Day Camp Sessions
Six sessions of day camp are available in July and August. The sessions are divided by age: campers ages 5-11 can attend Sessions 1-3 and campers ages 11-21 can attend Sessions 4-6 (overlap will be allowed at the Director's discretion). Each session runs Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. All sessions are held at the Easter Seals Recreation Center (formerly the "Cottage/Shack") at 809 W. McAndrews in Medford.

Staff and Volunteers
Easter Seals Day Camp takes pride in maintaining a high ratio of staff to campers (1:3 minimum). We hire positive, enthusiastic people who are willing to work hard, have fun, and provide a great experience for our clients. All staff and volunteers go through extensive training prior to service.
All activities are adapted to serve the needs of our clients. They are designed to challenge our campers yet allow for a successful outcome. All activities are reviewed for safety and are scheduled on an age-appropriate basis. Some of our favorite activities include:
