Now that we have entered 2018, we are proud to reflect back on the successes of the previous year made possible thanks to the support of our individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners. With their help, Easterseals New Jersey was able to impact the lives of 9,655 New Jersey residents with disabilities and special needs and those who care about them by providing opportunities to reach their goals to live, learn, work, and play in their communities.
With their generous support, our organization successfully endured a turbulent change in funding for our services. Throughout 2017, we refined our internal practices, as well as added to our portfolio of services. These changes allowed us to continue to meet the needs of our program participants and adapt to the new funding structure here in New Jersey.
Individuals who received services from our organization reported several successful outcomes in the past year, like avoiding repeated hospital visits, maintain stable housing, and gaining & retaining employment in the community – a feat for many!
New programs we added included a Behavioral Health Home in Monmouth County, Northern Career Pathways – a job training and placement program for the deaf and hard of hearing in the northwest region of the state, and the Community Based Individual Support (CBIS) Program that is available statewide.
We look forward to working with our participants, donors, staff, and community partners to make 2018 a year of access to opportunity for all those we serve. Thank you for your support.
