Veterans Memorial Park in Manchester was a sea of more than 2,500 participants, volunteers and spectators on June 2 for the Eversource Walk with Me & 5K Run for Easter Seals New Hampshire. The event, which is closing in on $250,000 raised, benefits Granite State children, adults and seniors with disabilities and special needs. Donations are being accepted through the end of July.

With a new 5K running component managed by Millennium Running, the Eversource Walk With Me and 5K Run was bigger and better than ever. In addition to the run, the event featured more than 40 vendors, many of which were wellness related.

“At Eversource, we have a passion and commitment to Easter Seals and the great programs and services it provides every day to the people and communities of New Hampshire,” said Jim Judge, Eversource President and CEO. “And, I’m so proud of our employees and family members who joined the Eversource team. They helped make this year’s event bigger and better than ever!”

Funds raised from the event will help Easter Seals continue to provide services throughout the Granite State, including: autism services, inclusive child care and early intervention, special education, medical rehabilitation, camping and recreation, vocational services, senior services, substance abuse services, adult day programs, community based services, individual service options, transportation services, residential service options, dental services and veteran services.
