Ovide, is an attorney and shareholder with Bernstein Shur, whose practice primarily focuses on complex business transactions which include commercial litigation as well as providing corporate counsel to a diverse array of commercial, charitable non-profit and institutional clients.  In addition, Ovide was a shareholder at Devine, Miliimet and Branch, he worked as general counsel for Americans United for Life in Washington, D.C., was legal counsel for the New Hampshire State Senate and was Chairman of the New Hampshire State Board of Education.  He also worked as a Law Clerk to the Honorable James E Barrett, of the United States Court of Appeals.

Ovide is also passionate about his home state of NH.  He won the Republican nomination for Governor in 1996 and 2012. He is the Founding President of the Franco-American Center, past Honorary Consul of France to New Hampshire, former President of the Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America, and Chairman of the Board of St. Mary’s Bank as well as a past member of the Easterseals, Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund and Manchester Crime line Board of Directors. 

When Ovide isn’t working, he is spending time with his family; wife Bettie of 39 years, daughters Madeleine, Brittany, and foster son. You may find them hunting, fishing, hiking and snowmobiling at the family camp on Lake Umbagog.
