Commitment to Community

For more than 90 years, Easterseals New York has provided exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work, and play in their communities.

ESNY touched the lives of  24,000 people in 2014  by workimg within communities, supported by  civic-minded businesses and individual donors throughout New York State.

Valhalla’s Project Explore features integrated classrooms, composed equally of general education and special education students that provide an extraordinary learning experience for all of our students.  The classes are staffed to provide the additional support that children with disabilities or special needs require, including individualized programs of instruction and therapies.  The decision by the Valhalla School District to sell ESNY the Valhalla School, at a price substantially below the market value, is a reflection of our joint commitment to building a community where all our children and their families will live, learn, work, and play.

Easterseals New York serves more than 200 preschoolers and 100 after school students at the Valhalla School.  With its 115 staff members, the Valhalla School meets the individual needs of its students with integrated classrooms in pre, day, and after school programs.  The Valhalla School sits on a beautiful two acre property at 70 Columbus Avenue Valhalla, NY.
