Lincoln Grant Supports Job Preparedness, Life Skills | Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana

Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana has received a $30,000 grant from Lincoln Financial Foundation that will be used to support program participants in areas of job readiness and independence. Easterseals Arc provides training, career assessments, internships, education, job placement and job support to teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The funding from Lincoln Financial Foundation will increase participants’ job readiness, life skills, and contribute to progress on their personal goals.

Easterseals Arc’s employment services strive to enhance self-sufficiency, employability, and job retention through hands on work experience in its Employment Readiness Academy and Pre-Employment Transition Services programs. Easterseals Arc also provides on-site learning labs to prepare participants for jobs in manufacturing, hospitality, and healthcare. Participants are placed in meaningful jobs and training opportunities that match their skills and interests and with stipends for some internships and on-the-job training.

Lincoln Financial Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Lincoln Financial Group, believes in empowering people to live greater lives, which advances culture and empowers greater positive change. This grant is part of Lincoln Financial’s annual multimillion-dollar investment in its local communities’ youth education, economic and workforce development, human well-being, and arts programs.
