Community Foundation Grant Aids Workforce Readiness Programs | Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana

Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana has received a $15,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne. The funding will support individuals with disabilities as they prepare for employment and join the Northeast Indiana workforce.

Easterseals Arc will provide assessment, training, education, placement, and support to teens and adults with disabilities. Through employment preparedness programs like the Transitions day program and the Employment Readiness Academy, participants will be matched with work and training opportunities in the Fort Wayne area that fit their skills and interests.

Services will include job exploration, work-based learning, workplace readiness, self-advocacy, education counseling, and caregiver education. New curricula and technology will be integrated into daily activities at Transitions, and Pre-Employment Transition Services will be provided to 350 students from area school districts in Northeast Indiana.
