Natural Supports

Natural supports are the relationships and connections that occur in everyday life. Since people with intellectual and developmental disabilities often need help developing these relationships, Easter Seals Arc offers activities and groups to help build connections and provides information on many other resources throughout the community.

Community Activities

Many organizations and businesses offer activities, classes and clubs ideal for individuals with special needs. These activities create opportunities to have fun, learn new things, and meet new people. Some examples are:

Support Groups

Support groups are a great way for individuals with disabilities and their families to get to know other people facing similar joys and challenges. Two examples are SibShops, a workshop for children who have a sibling with special needs, and the Adult Person with Asperger’s Group.
