Watch for these new or updated offerings in 2018:
Family Café will include three 3-month series throughout the year. Each series will focus on a different topic specifically designed for parents of children with special needs of any age. Each session will start with a family style dinner; then children will go with staff while parents stay for discussion on the featured topic. Click for information on the spring series.
Adult Sibling Educational Series will focus on providing education and support to adults with siblings who have special needs. Topics will include guardianship, finances, and more.
Family Connections will include periodic family get-togethers full of fun, games, and food. It also will include opportunities for small groups of parents who to gather in their homes or in the community for support and socialization.
Parents Night Out will have a new twist in 2018! Once a month, we will offer a special Parents Night Out open to all children in the family, with and without special needs. This will enable parents to enjoy a fun evening while all of their children are cared for in one location.
Parents Taking Action is a one-on-one peer mentorship program for parents. It lasts 12 to 14 weeks and covers specific topics a parent may be want to learn more about in addition to offering basic peer support.
