Speech therapy helps improve or restore communication skills or swallowing capabilities affected by injury, disease or congenital problems. In addition, our speech therapists work with children who cannot rely on speech or hearing as a form of communication. Speech therapy is available in both English and Spanish.
Who needs speech therapy?
Children who are not using two-word sentences by age two; those who are not speaking as much or as clearly as their same-age peers; those who do not understand or recognize common objects or simple instructions; or, those who have difficulty with oral-motor function (such as lip closure, blowing, chewing or tongue movement) may be in need of speech or feeding therapy.
