School Based Mental Health

We are excited to share one of newest services to the community. Easterseals and Alta Behavioral Health have created a unique relationship to provide mental health services to students with disabilities in several schools.
This innovative approach is designed to give children with emotional, physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities the right tools to grow in their independence, build confidence, and the skills they need to be successful in school and life. Easterseals employs case managers that work full-time in the school setting. The case managers work alongside classroom teachers. This gives students access to behavior support and the ability to acquire the following skills:
•    Appropriate communication skills for the classroom setting
•    Coping skills like anger and stress management
•    Social skills and increased peer and teacher relationships
•    Classroom engagement
