Ron Hocking
Chief Financial Officer / Senior Vice President
Ronald Hocking has served as the Chief Financial Officer for Easterseals Michigan (ESM) since August 24, 2017. He joined Easterseals Michigan immediately after serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority (DWMHA) where he worked for 3 and one-half years. Ron also served as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer for DWMHA. Ron previously served the Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority, now Oakland Community Health Network, for 15 years in various financial and management leadership positions, most recently as the Director of Network Cost and Utilization.
Ron’s professional, financial focus is to optimize the use of scarce resources to best serve people in need, and to do so humbly and with integrity.
Ron earned an MBA from Lawrence Technological University and a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. He is a lifetime Spartan fan and a long-time season ticket holder for MSU football. Ron loves family time with his wife Sue, daughter Abby and their puppy-like Coton De Tulear, Kipper.
