Katie Kogelmann

Director of Genesee Family Services

 Katie joined Easterseals Michigan in December of 2003 as a Home-Based Clinician working in the field. She has held the position of Director of Family Services since July 2016. She received her Bachelor’s degree in social work from Saginaw Valley State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. She is also received her Infant Mental Health Endorsement in 2012 and has extensive training in CBT, TFCBT, Motivational Interviewing, Critical Incident Staff Debriefing and Infant Mental Health.

She is a member of the University Avenue Corridor Coalition to improve Flint neighborhoods, a Babycourt Advisory Board Member, and a professor at the University of Michigan-Flint.

In 2016 she won the Elite Award for Cultivating Relationships to Support Shared Goals.

In her free time she enjoys playing outside and spending time with her family, dancing, getting together with friends, golfing, swimming, coaching and playing softball, going up north, and trying new things. She lives with her husband and 3 children on a farm in Mid-Michigan. They have a dog named Casey, a cat named Bailey and too many cows to name.

In 2011, the Easterseals mission became even more personal for her family when they welcomed a child with special abilities.
