Our mission

Easterseals provides exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities. Easterseals Maine is part of a four-state organization, including ME, NH, VT and NY, recognized as the most progressive and diverse Easterseals nationally. In 2006, we served more than 500 individuals of all ages and provided more than $350,000 in free and reduced price services to children and adults in need. For over 25 consecutive years, Easter Seals has been first among member agencies of the National Health Council for the percentage (90%) of dollars we allocate to providing direct services.

In the spotlight

Easterseals provides exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.

What We Do

Case Management serves youth from birth to 20 years of age who have a diagnosis of autism, Pervasive Development Disorder (PDD), Developmental Delay, or Asperger's Syndrome. The  different services available as a part of this program are: family advocacy and service coordination, assessment of strengths and needs, creation of an individualized plan, and locating and accessing appropriate services and resources.

The mission of our Military & Veterans Services program is to provide critical and timely financial assistance when no other resource is available to veterans, service members and their families, to ensure their dignity, health and
overall well-being.
