Years after his first steps at the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, Tim returns to achieve new goals.

Easterseals lends a hand through every step on life's journey.

As a child, Tim Bowling got a great start in life by attending the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center’s therapeutic preschool. Tim has cerebral palsy and like thousands of other local kids, Easterseals is where he learned to walk, write, and reach other important developmental goals.

Tim went on to succeed in school, get involved in youth ministry, run his own computer business, and raise a family. He had no idea that the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center would again become an important part of his life.

In 2013, Tim fell at work and received a severe concussion. In 2014, he had two strokes. Now at age 47, Tim is working hard to regain the skills he needs to be fully independent again.

Tim receives therapy in the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center’s gym and fully-accessible warm-water therapeutic pool. The pool eases Tim’s ongoing pain, relaxes muscles and makes walking movements much easier. He’s building strength and endurance and making great progress toward his goals.

“I want to be more mobile again,” Tim said. “I’d love to get out in the community more, go to more religious gatherings, and get involved in volunteer projects to help kids.” Tim is already volunteering to teach elementary school students about gardening, and he’s well on his way to achieving his other dreams. No matter what life brings, he’ll succeed with a hand from Easterseals and supporters like you!
