Built to Last Capital Campaign

Message from President/CEO Sherri Nielsen:

For more than 90 years, Easterseals Iowa has supported individuals with disabilities to live their best lives and be engaged in their communities. I’m often asked what our mission means for the people we support, and I always have the same answer: hope, belief and independence. These are our core principles and the heart of the services we provide every single day.

The legacy of Easterseals Iowa and Camp Sunnyside has been built by countless volunteers, donors, team members, clients, family members and friends. Right now, we have the opportunity to ensure this legacy of excellence continues.

We are embarking on a new chapter of the Easterseals Iowa story by bringing all of our service teams together at the Camp Sunnyside location through the construction of a new facility and renovation of several of our current structures so that the quality of our buildings and grounds will finally match the excellence of our services. We believe this will allow us to leverage our talents and resources so we can do what we do best—create solutions and change lives. We conducted our last capital campaign twenty years ago and are confident the strategic planning for this new campaign will set us up for success for many years to come.

At Easterseals Iowa, we don’t stay the same. We innovate, we seek creative solutions and we respond to emerging needs. Because of our commitment to quality, in the past 20 years we have created multiple new programs to meet the needs of our community. While our programs have changed and adapted, our facilities have not. We are embarking on this campaign to create the infrastructure needed to deliver our life-changing services. Our clients and community deserve no less. Check out our proposed site plan.

Let’s work together to ensure the mission of Easterseals Iowa is here to support all who need it for generations to come. Please contact us if interested in being a part of this exciting campaign to build success for our future at 515-309-9776.
