Cincinnati, OH, April 23, 2017
National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to recognize and thank volunteers who lend their time, talent, voice and support to causes they care about in their community. National Volunteer Week 2017 is celebrated April 23-29.
Easterseals has more than 40 years of experience breaking down barriers to employment, but we owe much of our success to the outstanding support of volunteers. In 2016, we amplified our impact thanks to the service of more than 100 individual volunteers who dedicated countless hours to our mission.
Our thanks to the following companies whose culture of community giving inspires their employees to volunteer at Easterseals:
The E.W. Scripps Company
Fifth Third Bancorp
Greater Cincinnati Foundation
Hixson Architecture Engineering Interiors
The Kroger Company
Ohio National Financial Services
Procter & Gamble
Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP
University of Cincinnati
In addition, we celebrate the hours that the individuals we serve have dedicated to volunteering in the community. Our Neighborhood Hubs make it part of their weekly schedule to volunteer with community organizations like St. Vincent De Paul thrift stores, local food pantries, church community meals, and more. Easterseals' YouthBuild program builds volunteer work into their curriculum, instilling an appreciation of supporting one’s community.
Thank you to all volunteers who are part of our Easterseals family. You are building a more diverse and inclusive Greater Cincinnati.
