Public Media Connect, the regional public media partnership of CET in Cincinnati and ThinkTV in Dayton, received 5 Emmy Awards from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Winners were announced Saturday, August 5 during the Emmy Gala at the Lawrenceburg Event Center in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Winning entries included "The Road Moving Forward," a film featuring Easterseals Job Developer Karl Williams, part of the Easterseals Veteran Services team. The film was created as part of Veterans Coming Home, an innovative cross-platform public media campaign that bridges America’s military-civilian divide by telling stories, challenging stereotypes and exploring how the values of service and citizenship are powerful connectors for all Americans.
CET and ThinkTVwere honored with 14 Ohio Valley Emmy nominations this year in categories ranging from arts and entertainment to special event, documentary, military, nostalgia and information/instructional programs as well as nominations in the promotion and photographer categories. 2017 entries are available online at http://www.CETconnect.org/emmy-2017.
