Workforce Development Specialist, Butler County Youth Services

Individual in this position will be responsible for providing case management services to youth enrolled in WIOA services, providing ongoing objective and customized assessments of the academic levels, work skill levels and service needs of each youth, this includes working with schools and community providers to ensure youth engage in academics and work readiness training as well as assisting youth in completing their graduation requirements and connect to employment and/or post-secondary education, keeping accurate records by completing and maintaining required documentation including case notes, monthly reports, intake forms, activity logs, unified written plans, discharge summaries and end of month reports. Must be available to work varied hours including evenings and weekends at worksites located in multiple counties. Individual in this position will be responsible for training individuals with disabilities in community worksites that will change with each assignment by providing orientation and training, assisting with duties and job related issues, demonstrating job functions, assessing and identifying work strengths and weaknesses and making recommendations based on results of assessment. Assists individuals in completing work assignments if and when they are unable to independently perform tasks. Encourages and assists individuals by teaching job tasks, interpersonal skills, stress management, communication skills and other job related activities.
