Easterseals Florida is looking for highly motivated, energetic, talented and committed individuals to join our team on an on-call basis as Substitute Preschool Assistant Teachers for our child development program in West Palm Beach! Our substitutes will fill in when our Preschool Teachers or Assistant Teachers are out due to vacations or unexpected absence. You may know ahead of time when you are needed, or you may be called at a moment’s notice. The hours for substitutes will vary, so these positions are ideal for individuals currently with other part-time positions, college students, or those wanting to work on a limited basis. Our substitute positions require interacting with children (from birth to age five) and their families. You must be comfortable with diapering, feeding and getting on the floor to play with the children. The position requires a high volume of family and customer contact, speaking with families on a regular basis regarding their needs, including sensitive topics of financial assistance and level of care. Program participants perform various service contracts, which enable them to develop natural supports and perform valued social roles.
