A Lifetime of Services

Meet Gary

Gary enjoys the sunshine while watching the band perform at our Annual Summer Solstice Carnival.

Gary has been a participant with Easter Seals-Goodwill since he was a little boy.  As a participant in programs offered by our organization over the years, he remembers going to Cub Scouts, swimming therapy, shredding paper and hanging clothes.  He has experienced many of our services, including home care for him and his parents.

Gary started Adult Day services in 1997.  He joins in all activities and welcomes new participants by making them feel comfortable.  Gary helps out in many ways and is a strong advocate of our services.

Throughout the year, he collects items and during the holidays he spends his weekends visiting nursing homes and giving residents gifts.  Recently, Gary began arranging transportation on the weekends to accompany one participant, who is otherwise a shut-in, to restaurants, craft shows and the shopping mall.
