For nearly 35 years, families have turned to Highlands Hospice for compassionate end of life health care which emphasizes comfort, dignity and quality of life. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of medical, emotional, spiritual and practical care for people living with a terminal illness.
As the area’s first and only non-profit community-based hospice, you can be sure our first priority is always caring for our patients and their caregivers. Our nursing staff is available for support and assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
With focus on the patient and family, the medically supervised team of professionals and trained volunteers provides skilled medical care and counseling in a warm, supportive environment. While hospice is best known for its care of patients with cancer, hospice services are available to individuals with any terminal illness.
Patients are typically eligible for hospice once it is determined that life expectancy is limited and they choose to control their symptoms without the expectation of prolonging life. Highlands Hospice serves patients from our offices in Silverbow County, Montana. We care for patients in their home, wherever they currently live. This includes assisted living centers, nursing facilities and group homes.
Hospice care is covered by most insurers, including Medicare, Medicaid and private insurers. Private pay options are also available. Our admission staff can help evaluate your coverage. Simply call us at 406-533-0020. It is our policy to never refuse service to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
Highlands Hospice patients are cared for by a team of skilled, compassionate professionals. Our team works with the physician, patient and family to set up an individualized plan of care which honors the patient’s goals, values and wishes. Depending on patient needs, Highlands Hospice professional staff provides:
Highlands Hospice offers a monthly support group meeting in our Butte office. Families and caregivers can learn valuable information to help them in the grieving process and gain support and encouragement from others.
