Enrichment Classes and Activities

Easter Seals-Goodwill offers a variety of classes and activities as part of our children's services in Utah to help children with special needs and their families build and practice important skills.


Wiggly Worm Sensory Processing Classes (Sandy and Provo)  8-week class series for parents and children preschool through age 6 provides a better understanding of each sensory area and how it functions, increases parents' ability to recognize sensory processing issues in their child and offers a personalized set of easy and effective strategies parents can use at home to make their child's world a more sensory-friendly and peaceful place.

      SUMMER DATES:  Tuesdays, June 12 - July 31.  Class time is 4:30-6:00 pm. 
      Cost is $60 for supplies.

Lego Club (Sandy office & Melissa Nellesen Center for Autism in Orem) 8-week class sessions offered 3-4 times a year for children in grades 1-4 with social communication disorders. In additon having fun working on Lego building projects, the classes help students improve self-monitoring, self-control, compliance with routines and adult direction; increase fine motor skills; and practice social interaction and communication skills with peers.

      Session One - June 5 - 26. Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-2:30 pm. 
      Cost is $60 for supplies
      Session Two - July 10-31.  Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-2:30 pm.
      Cost is $60 for supplies

Summer Music Therapy (Sandy) 10-week class series for children age 6-10, taught by board certified music therapist Cassie Bringhurst. This class helps children make strides in social, emotional and communication skills in a fun engaging way using a variety of musical instruments.

      Session One - June 11 - August 13. Meets Mondays, 4:30-5:15 pm. 
      Cost is $250.
      Session Two - June 14 - August 16. Meets Thursdays, 10:00-10:45 am.
      Cost is $250.
