Recruitment and Compliance Specialist

Easterseals Eastern PA is seeking a Recruitment and Compliance Specialist to support high-quality staffing and training of direct service professionals in its community-based programs. The Recruitment and Compliance Specialist is responsible for hiring new staff in targeted programs as well as providing and coordinating training for new and existing staff. This position assists Easterseals in meeting all federal, state and other regulatory/compliance requirements and guidelines associated with program staffing and helps to assess current and future staffing needs.

Bachelor’s degree with two years’ experience in staff recruitment, hiring, and training, especially in a healthcare or non-profit setting required. Experience with Office of Developmental Program rules and regulations regarding community supports, recreational and respite services strongly preferred. Knowledge of employment initiatives for individuals with disabilities, including Employment First, helpful. This is a full-time position working out of our office in Reading or Allentown with some flexibility required to travel throughout our region as needed. Competitive salary and benefits.

Employment Specialist - Carbon County

Easterseals is seeking a part-time Employment Specialist to assist youth and adults with disabilities prepare for and obtain jobs in the Carbon County area. Responsibilities include assisting individuals to prepare for employment through resume/job application completion, practicing interviewing skills, and coordinating transportation and other ancillary supports. Individual is responsible for developing appropriate job opportunities for youth and adults, providing onsite support and job coaching, evaluating and recommending appropriate job accommodations, developing fade plans, and providing ongoing on-the-job support to consumers and employers as needed. Individual will also coordinate job shadows and paid work experiences for in-school youth as well as work-based assessments for adults.

Bachelor’s degree preferred with two years’ experience supporting people with disabilities and the ability to work in a variety of community and employment environments. Other combinations of relevant employment, education, and/or volunteer experience considered. CESP certification preferred but not required. Familiarity with Employment First concepts and Discovery/Customized Employment supports strongly desired.

Must have personal vehicle with valid PA driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving record. Must be able to work independently and travel throughout Carbon County and the Greater Lehigh Valley to meet with individuals and employers. Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet consumer needs, including weekends and evenings, required.

Position is 20-25 hours per week and pays $15.00 per hour. Mileage reimbursement provided.

Community Support Specialists

Easterseals Community Support Specialists play an integral role by supporting people with disabilities in a variety of community activities. This interaction assists in the development of meaningful social and job connections in the lives of individuals with disabilities. You will work one-on-one with individuals with special needs to achieve success in volunteer activities (food bank, animal shelters, libraries, etc.), recreational opportunities (art classes, cooking lessons, etc.) and career exploration (resume preparation, etc.).

A High School Diploma and prior experience supporting people with disabilities along with the ability to work in various community settings is required. You must be able to work a flexible schedule, have a valid driver’s license and have the use of a personal vehicle to transport consumers (mileage is reimbursed).

Starting wage is $12 per hour with an increase to $13 after 6 months and $14 after 1 year. An additional $250 bonus is available at one-year of employment.

Speech Language Pathologist

As a premier provider of therapeutic services for infants and toddlers, we are seeking ASHA credentialed PA licensed Speech Language Pathologists to work as independent contractors in Early Intervention/Birth to Three in all our locations. Pediatric experience preferred.

PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant

We are in need of a part-time physical therapy assistant for our outpatient therapy department in Reading. The position is responsible for the implementing treatment plans in accordance with the patient plan of care and individualized needs, under the supervision of a credentialed physical therapist and for the completion of all necessary documentation. Must have graduated from a credentialed physical therapy assistant program and have a PA License. Clinical experience in a pediatric setting is preferred.
