Open House

May 6, 4:00-6:30PM

Join us as we open our doors to celebrate Easterseals 100th Anniversary. Tour our center in Reading where we offer outpatient occupational, speech and physical therapy, as well as an autism diagnostic clinic and specialty medical clinics.

Meet the staff, enjoy make-and-take activities, add your touch to the new mural being painted for the therapy room, enjoy light refreshments and help us celebrate this important milestone.

There is no cost to attend and you do not need to register in advance.

We thank our friends at Leisawitz Heller for partially sponsoring the open house and for the firm’s commitment to the mission of Easterseals.

About the Mural Project
The mural is being painted by local artist Mike Miller, a muralist who also teaches art in the Wyomissing School District. Miller has been creating murals in Berks County for over 15 years and collaborates with a variety of community organizations and volunteers to create the pieces. At Easterseals, several of his murals grace the walls of our clinic waiting room in Reading and the façade of the building at Camp Lily on Mount Penn. This newest mural will cover a 200 square foot wall in the physical therapy room. It will feature a panorama of native plants and insects with many small details to inspire conversation and exploration during therapy sessions. At the Open House, guests will be invited to paint a portion of the mural, which is being done on a large canvas to be installed on the wall. Volunteers from the Alcon Corporation will compete the painting as part of the Alcon Community Partnership Days taking place May 21-23. The completed mural will be installed in the early summer.
