Highmark Walk

Help us raise funds to support our programs by participating in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community. Highmark underwrites the cost of the entire event so that 100% of the money raised goes directly to Easter Seals Eastern Pennsylvania and helps local families!

You choose 5k (3.1 mile) walk or One-mile Fun Walk
Both routes are fully accessible to strollers and wheelchairs

HOW IT WORKS:
Highmark organizes the walk and we benefit by recruiting walkers for Easter Seals. It’s easy and it’s free! REGISTER ONLINE by signing up as an individual, joining an Easter Seals team or starting your own team. You must register in order to participate. Create a personal fundraising page and tell your story. Ask friends, coworkers and family to sponsor you or join your team and raise their own funds; spread the word on social media; and ask local businesses to sponsor you. Check out some of our useful Fundraising Tips. All checks should be made payable to Easter Seals Eastern PA.

SEE THE DIFFERENCE YOU CAN MAKE:
$250 provides 4 days of respite for a family
$500 provides 6 months of recreation activities for young adults with disabilities
$1,000 provides 8 hours of therapy for an infant with an Early Intervention specialist

ABOUT THE WALK:
We’re having a luau! Show up at the walk in Hawaiian attire (flower shirts, leis, grass skirts, etc.) and you earn extra prize chances!

Please note: Registered walkers who raise or donate $30.00 will receive a Walk T-shirt from Highmark while supplies last. You must be a registered walker and attend the Walk to receive a T-shirt. In order to qualify, your online personal fundraising page must show under the “I have raised” section a minimum amount of $30.00 by Thursday, June 1st. Because t-shirts need to be ordered in advance, gifts handed in the day of the event do not count toward t-shirt credit. If you want to bring your cash or check donations to our Allentown office prior to Wednesday, May 31st, we can enter them into your online account and your gift(s) will count towards the free t-shirt.
