For over twenty five years, Easter Seals El Mirador has provided service for adults with developmental disabilities. Easter Seals El Mirador offers a variety of programs and support systems designed to be normalized, non-aversive and full of choices. These services are based upon the individual’s strengths and needs and are meant to foster independence and improvement in the quality of their lives. Easter Seals El Mirador is a large facility operation. Our staffs are, nationally accredited, federally certified, state licensed agency, serving more than 150 people in Taos, Alcalde, Espanola, and Santa Fe. Based on our organizational growth and our diversified clientele, we have developed a variety of programs and services, including: • Community activities • Individualized programs of learning • Supported living • Support employment • Community accessibility • Human right advocacy Many of our people have multiple diagnoses, including physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy and seizure disorders, as well as mental retardation and mental illness. At Easter Seals El Mirador, we are dedicated to restoring the dignity of choice by supporting these individuals in their home communities.
