Autism Clinic and Autism Services

Early detection and early intervention is the best way to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental disabilities gain greater independence. Our team works collaboratively with the family to determine a diagnosis and our autism clinic offers support to families and children of all ages who are seeking answers.

Autism Clinic

Our Autism Diagnostic Clinic consists of a multi-disciplinary team, including a bilingual psychologist, an occupational therapist, and a speech-language pathologist. Families leave the clinic with a diagnosis and initial treatment guidelines that most appropriately address the child’s abilities and challenges.

Bilingual Services

This comprehensive clinic is led by bilingual clinical psychologist, Dr. Citlaly Gonzalez, who uses a strengths-based approach to empower individuals and families to achieve their goals. Dr. Gonzalez can also help with any required documentation and re-evaluation of an ASD diagnosis for school or insurance needs. From our intake to the evaluation, we can help Spanish-speaking families receive care and support.

To get started with bilingual support, please contact Brenda Delgado at 847.742.3264.

Autism Diagnostic Clinic Process

The evaluation includes assessments with an occupational therapist and speech-language pathologist, a caregiver interview, a review of any medical, social, academic, and developmental history, and assessments, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS).

An evaluation summary and recommendations are shared after the clinic in a virtual session. Extra steps are taken to offer consults with schools and other clinicians to individually tailor recommendations. Dr. Gonzalez also outlines specific steps and tailored recommendations to help families prioritize next steps. We always give time for questions and additional discussions as every family should walk away empowered in this new journey.
